Barryroe U16's gave a wonderful display of their camogie talent last wednesday night beating Dungourney on a scoreline of 4-8 to 3-2. After being defeated by Cloghduv the previous sunday the girls came out with all guns blazing. Rachel Sheehy opened the scoring with a great point.Dungourney responded with a quick goal. Followed by a fantastic goal from Hannah Whelton, and a further 2 points, one from Rachel Sheehy and Hannah Whelton. Then just before half time Ciara O'Sullivan scored her first goal in this u16 series and topped it off with an equally second goal within minutes. Hannah Whelton finished the first half with her 2nd goal. score at half time 4-3 v1-2.
The second half Dungourney had the wind but that didn't stop our youthful side. Rachel Sheehy converted a further 3 points but Dungourney fought back and scored  2 goals. Kate Whelton and Rachel Sheehy scoring the 2 finishing points. Barryroe won 4-8 to 3-2. A good clean match was had by all and with Aoife Kearney fighting for possession and winning every ball she did deserve Player of the match for her skill and determination.
