Barryroe 2-12            Aughabullogue 0-06

Barryroe had a good win in the Senior "B" camogie Championship, when they overcame a gallant Aghabullogue side in at a wet and windy Brinny on Sunday. Barryroe were quickly out of the blocks with Sile Burns pointing. Clair Sexton added another, before Sile added two more points for a 4 pts to nil lead and when Clair Sexton then goaled,  the Blues were well in command. The same two players pushed the score out to 1-07 to 0-01 before Clair Tyndal took a great pass from Sile Burns to rattle the back of the Aughabullogue net and leave Barryroe leading by 2-07 to 0-1 at the break.
Aughabullogue had an early chance to get back into the game, but Eimear White pulled off a great save and the game was as good as over.
With Carmel Griffin getting through a lot of work around the middle, there was no way back for Agabullogue and the game petered out in the  miserable conditions.
Aghabullogue added four points and Barryroe notched five from Síle Burns(0-2), Geraldine Collins, Clair Sexton and Rachel Sheehy for a comprehensive 2-12 to 0-06 victory.
This competition is being run on a Round Robin basis and this win sets  Barryroe up nicely.

E.S.

A crucial save by keeper Eimear White just after half time, broke the heart of the Aghabullogue challenge.
